About me:
In 2023, I obtained my Postpartum Doula certification from DONA International and became a certified lactation educator through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University. As a mother of two, I vividly recall the overwhelming challenges we faced when bringing our second child home. Despite thriving with our first, the transition was unexpectedly difficult. Reflecting on this period, I wish I would have had the support of a postpartum doula, a thought that never crossed our minds. It would have been incredibly helpful for someone to reassure us, affirming our capabilities, assuring us that every challenging moment was fleeting. This profound experience ignited my desire to become that person—a postpartum doula, offering non-judgmental support and instilling confidence in families as they navigate the transformative journey into parenthood. When I am not helping families I enjoy time with my husband and children, sewing, cooking, baking and growing dahlias.
